BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Union University fall sports teams made up 51 spots on the Gulf South Conference Fall All-Academic Honor Roll. Union was the fifth highest team total in the 10 total schools in the league.
Student-Athletes must have a 3.0 GPA to be named to the conference honor roll.
Shorter led the Fall All-Academic Honor Roll, posting 73 of the 515 members who qualified with a GPA of at least 3.00. Valdosta State topped the 60-student plateau (63) while Delta State (57), West Georgia (55), and Union (51) each had more than 50 student-athletes make the list. North Alabama (48), West Florida (44), West Alabama (43), Christian Brothers (41) and Alabama-Huntsville (35) rounded out the list. Please note that Shorter and Union student-athletes were not eligible for the All-Academic team while the schools continue to fulfill their requirements for full membership in the GSC. Qualification for the Honor Roll is automatic based on GPA and nomination (there is no vote).
Below are each of the 51 student-athletes from Union that were named to the all-academic honor roll. The conference sponsored six fall sports including men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and football. Union participates in all sports with the exception of football.
