2013-14 Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Union University men's and women's basketball teams put 16 total players on the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll. To be included on the honor roll, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Union's 16 total students-athletes on the basketball academic honor roll was second best in the Gulf South Conference.
The Union women's team placed nine players on the honor roll.
Shelby Ashcraft,
Chelsea Bodiford,
Astrid Huttemann,
Amy Philamlee,
Amber Rechis,
Kelsey Risner,
Emily Sissom,
DeAnna Thompson, and
LaTesa McLaughlin each earned the honor. The Union women were tied for second most in the entire GSC with nine total.
The men's team put seven players on the list.

Pedro Faller,
Elijah Fletcher,
Eric Leisey,
Caleb Pitman,
Felipe Rocha, and
Paul Valdor each earned the honor. The Union men were tied for second in the entire GSC with seven total.
These 16 winter sport athletes join the 62 Union student-athletes from fall sports (soccer, volleyball, cross country) to make the
Gulf South Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
