BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Union University senior pitcher Kelly Robey was named the Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2015. This is the second GSC Pitcher of the Week honor for Robey this year.
 
Robey, a 5-foot-10 senior from New Madrid, Mo., went 2-2 on the week in four starts for Union. She posted a 2-1 win over No. 15 North Alabama and also had a one-hitter, 8-0 win over Bethel. For the week, she posted 23 strikeouts in 21.2 innings of work with a 1.94 ERA. She allowed just 12 hits and six runs on the week.
 
Robey is 15-8 on the year. Union is 18-11 overall and 8-9 in the GSC. The Lady Bulldogs are in action again today in a home non-conference double-header versus former NAIA foe Blue Mountain (Miss.) at 3 p.m. at Fesmire Field.
