JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University basketball teams will be awaiting news that will be announced during the 2015 NCAA Division I Basketball National Tournament Selection Shows. All 64 teams for the men and 64 teams for the women that will participate in the 2015 Division II National Tournament will be announced. The locations for each region location in the national tournament will also be announced.
 
The women's show will start at 9:00 p.m. central time, while the men's show will start at 9:30 p.m.
 
The Union women are fresh off their Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship from Saturday, a 62-50 win over Delta State. Because of that, they knows they are one of the 64 teams in the tournament field with an automatic bid for being a conference tournament champion. However, as the No. 1 seed in the South Region, the Lady Bulldogs are awaiting official announcement that the South Region Tournament will be played at Fred DeLay Gymnasium on Union's campus, March 13-16.
 
The Union men are awaiting news hoping to be among the at-large bids to the field of 64. Union finished tied for fourth in the GSC Regular Season, while advancing to the semifinals in the GSC Tournament. Union lost in overtime 77-75 to the eventual tournament champion, Alabama Huntsville. If Union is included in the eight-team South Region Tournament, the Bulldogs will most likely travel to a host site in Florida, March 14-17.
 
After the national tournament field of 64 is set, including the eight regions of eight teams, it will be win and advance. Any loss to any from this point forward will mean elimination from the tournament. The eight region round winners will advance to the national tournament Elite Eight round.
