BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Union University placed five student-athletes on Gulf South Conference FireSeeds Fall All-Academic Teams, while Union placed 63 student-athletes on the 2015 GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll. The all-academic teams are student-athletes are voted on from a pool of nominees that are sophomores or higher with at least a 3.30 GPA. It also carries weight of athletic stats and accomplishments. The honor roll includes all student-athletes that have at least a 3.0 GPA and played varsity competition in the fall.
 
Two Union runners were voted to the GSC Men's Cross Country All-Academic team, including Will Donelson and Jacob Whitney. Both runners were also named first team All-GSC runners back in the fall and both were also repeat members of the GSC All-Academic team. Donelson was a unanimous selection.
 
Union also had two runners voted to the GSC Women's Cross Country All-Academic team, including Abby Berends and Janey Berends. Janey was a first team All-GSC performer back in the fall, while Abby was a second team All-GSC performer.
 
Connor Burns was named to the GSC Men's Soccer All-Academic team. This was his first selection for this award.
 
Union boasted 63 student-athletes on the 2015 GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll. The 63 student-athletes matched their highest fall total in the four years as a member of the GSC. Union also had 63 fall athletes in 2014 to make the list. Union ranked fifth in the GSC out of 12 teams in fall totals. Union was the highest non-football school in the list.
