BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Union University men's and women's basketball teams placed 13 student-athletes on the Gulf South Conference FireSeeds Winter Academic Honor Roll. Union was one of nine conference teams with 10 or more players listed and was just four behind GSC leader UAH. The GSC Honor Roll includes student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA and are a member of a varsity team. 

The Union women's basketball team put nine players on the list, including Chelsea Bodiford, Astrid Huttemann, Anna Lea Little, Bethany Lytle, Fredi Nielsen, Tiffany Rechis, Jada Smith, Megan Lewis and McKenna Montgomery. 

Union's men making the list included Tray Boyd, Braden Burnside, Stuart Milam and Felipe Rocha.
